District 202 Wins Sierra Bravo’s Overnight Web Challenge!
A sincere thank you to all of our supporters!
For the second year in a row, Sierra Bravo hosted their Overnight Website Challenge, an opportunity to pair non-profits with leading designers in the Twin Cities or - as often described by Sierra Bravo - where the nerdy meet the needy. This once-a-year event (and once-in-a-lifetime opportunity as far as we’re concerned) allowed us and 11 other non-profits the oppotunity to breathe life into there old (and in our case tired and stale) websites. However, as detailed later, the site is not just new and fresh, but will enable us to further our reach and the way we serve GLBT youth and their allied friends.
At the web challenge we were paired with the amazing team from Colle + McVoy and a few ringers from Sierra Bravo as well. We want to thank them for their support, energy, talent and commitment to getting this project done.
In order to be a part of the challenge, we also needed to gather testimonials from supporters and community members. We put out a call and many of you returned it with words that were both inspiring and humbling, some of which are embedded into the site. As with many things we do, we could not have achieved these things without the support and commitment of the community. So we just want to say - Thank you! Your gift has opened up our possibility and granted the wishes of many people. Namely, a new site for District 202.
Enjoy,
Jason Bucklin
