PFund Offers $50,000 in Scholarships to LGBTA Students

If you’d like to continue your education, but don’t want to be burdened with debt, scholarships are the way to go. To meet that end, Minnesota and the LGBTA community is lucky to have PFund, the only Minnesota foundation dedicated exclusively to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) equality, and has announced it has more than $50,000 for scholarships to be awarded for the 2010-2011 school year.
How Do I Know if I’m Eligible?
Have you been an active member of your GSA? Have you helped people better understand the GLBTA community? Have you created new opportunities or new allies?
• Scholarships are available to high school, graduate and undergraduate students in both public and private schools, who are LGBT or allies.
• Awards are based on the students’ leadership in advancing awareness and support of LGBT issues and their ability to spur visibility and dialogue in their communities.
• Service to their LGBT and allied communities is a key consideration.
