Janet Bystrom has been filling the position of mental health resource person here for two and a half years. She's also worked as a therapist at Face to Face for 13 years. She has has two master's degrees (one in psychology and one in social work). But most of what she knows-and what teens know-doesn't come from books. She's got 17 years of experience helping people figure out what is important to them, coming out and growing up.

Rosemary helps with Monday night Queer Sex Ed classes, Wednesday night House of Colors groups focusing on transgender women of color, the peer educator program, and street-outreach. Sometimes she brings her dog Sadie (cutest dog ever in the whole world!) to the center with her. She's usually around Monday-Friday and is always up to talking to folks about sex, drugs, rock n roll, mental health, housing, or whatever else is on your mind.

Starri Fawn Hedges •

Starri Fawn Hedges has been at District 202 since 2005 and is the HIV-Counseling
Testing and Referrals Coordinator. Starri has been trained and certified
through the Centers for Disease Control, the Red Cross, and the Mn.
Department of Health to administer rapid HIV tests and provide pre and
post test counseling. Starri has also completed in-depth studies of
expressive art therapies, martial arts, tarot, ritual practice, and
several holistic healing techniques including Reiki, Qigong, and Yoga.
Starri is also a writer, performance artist, and singer, working with
local and national arts organizations since 1992. Starri is currently
a Co-Director of Second Foundation School and the proud parent of Jazmin
who is an amazing circus superstar. Starri's favorite color is purple.
